Your privacy is not a feature we added on top — it's the foundation of how this site is built. Here is exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.
This Privacy Policy describes how UltraImageCompression ("we", "our" or "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit www.ultraimagecompression.xyz and use our tools. Please read it carefully. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the site.
Every image processing tool on this site — the image compressor, image converter, watermark remover, and background remover interface — processes files using JavaScript running in your browser tab. Your image files are never uploaded to our servers because we have no server set up to receive them. The Canvas API, pdf-lib, and Web APIs your browser provides handle everything locally.
The only exception is the Background Remover, which uses the remove.bg API. When you use that tool, your image is sent directly from your browser to remove.bg's servers using an API key you provide. We do not see that image, receive it, or store it. Remove.bg's own privacy policy governs how they handle it.
Contact form submissions: If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message content. We use this to respond to your inquiry and for no other purpose. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Newsletter subscriptions: If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send periodic updates about the tools and site. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
Google Analytics (GA4): We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, approximate geographic region, session duration, and how users navigate the site. This data is anonymised and aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google AdSense: We display Google advertising to support the free tools. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across websites. You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.
Server logs: Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard server log data including IP addresses, browser types, referring URLs, and page requests. This data is retained per Netlify's standard policies for security and performance monitoring.
We use the following types of cookies:
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality, though the image processing tools themselves do not require cookies to work.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@ultraimagecompression.xyz and we will respond within 5 business days.
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months to allow follow-up on ongoing inquiries. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. We retain no image data at any point — ever.
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption via Netlify, and our architecture minimises data collection by design. No security system is perfect, but we have taken the most effective step available: not collecting your image files in the first place.
Our site is hosted on servers primarily in the United States. If you are accessing from outside the US, standard server log data (IP address, browser type) may be processed in the US. By using the site you consent to this.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
